Personalidad

Type A/B Personality

Personality linked to heart disease?

Discovered by cardiologists Meyer Friedman and Ray Rosenman in the 1950s. Type A Personality: - Competitive, ambitious - Time-pressured, impatient - Aggressive, hostile - Workaholic tendencies → 2x higher risk of coronary heart disease Type B Personality: - Relaxed, easygoing - Not stressed by competition - Doesn't need constant recognition → Lower stress-related illness risk Later research identified 'hostility' as the key factor in Type A. Criticism: Overly simplistic categorization. Note: Completely unrelated to blood type personality theories!
